Following her graduation, Dr. Shteyn completed a residency program in vision therapy and low vision at Northport VA Hospital from 2000-2001. This experience further honed her skills and deepened her understanding of eye health and vision care. In her practice, Dr. Shteyn has developed a special interest in dry eye disease management and nutrition. She finds immense fulfillment in seeing her patients see clearly with their glasses and contacts. Furthermore, she takes pride in educating her patients about their eyes and promoting overall eye health. Outside of her practice, Dr. Shteyn is an active member of the Ocular Wellness & Nutrition Society (OWNS).
Outside of her medical pursuits, Dr. Shteyn is a dedicated yoga practitioner and a passionate advocate for nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. She enjoys spending time in her garden, nurturing plants as she nurtures her patients. In addition, she takes on the role of a ballet mom, supporting and cheering for her child’s passion for dance.
